FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [February 25, 2020 | Grand Junction, CO] – The Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP) is pleased to welcome Micah Adams to the team. As Real Estate Development Manager, Adams assumes a brand-new role within the organization, which will support developers and business prospects with navigating Mesa County’s commercial and residential landscape.
“Our improving economy, affordable commercial real estate and seven Opportunity Zones has created interest from local and out of area developers that is wonderful and almost overwhelming,” said GJEP Executive Director Robin Brown. “With Micah’s hands-on experience in real estate development and construction, he brings a whole new set of skills to GJEP that will be a tremendous asset as we grow our services to meet the increasing demand that we’re seeing.”
Adams joins GJEP from FCI Constructors, where he was part of a project management team that oversaw construction of large commercial buildings. Adams holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, as well as Associate’s degrees in Construction Technology and Computer Aided Drafting, from Colorado Mesa University. Most recently, Adams worked on the construction of Orchard Mesa Middle School.
At GJEP, Adams will serve as the liaison between prospects looking to relocate to the area and city and county planning departments, and build relationships with the commercial broker community where many of GJEP’s prospects originate. He is GJEP’s primary resource for real estate market trends, fees, zoning and permitting, Mesa County’s seven Opportunity Zone tracts, and development opportunities at Riverfront at Las Colonias Park.
