Colorado’s Rural Jump-Start Tax Credit program, which started in Mesa County, has been approved for two key changes that opens up the program to more businesses:
- the number of new jobs a business needs to create to qualify for the performance-based incentive has been lowered from 5 to 3; and
- a business can choose to partner with an incubator, workforce center or other entity in lieu of a local university to meet the requirement for a community partnership
