May 16, 2017 – This week we welcome Bicycle Retailer & Industry News to Colorado’s Grand Valley for their Dealer Tour. Here’s what they’ve got planned:

“Bicycle Retailer & Industry News staff is returning to Colorado, but this time editors and sponsors will visit shops in Grand Junction, Fruita and Palisade.

The Grand Valley, as the area is called, is the 25th market the magazine will survey as part of its Dealer Tour program where editors and participating sponsors ride to shops and interview owners, mechanics and sales staff about their businesses and local product and sales trends. Recaps and photos of each day’s visits will be posted online and an overview of the market and in-depth store profiles will be featured in the magazine’s June 15 issue.

BRAIN previously visited Denver and Boulder retailers in 2011.

Finish Line, Garmin, the Grand Junction Economic Partnership and Felt are sponsors of the tour of the Grand Valley, which kicks off Tuesday with stops at five shops in Grand Junction: The Board & Buckle, The Bike Shop, Brown Cycles, Bicycle Outfitters and Ruby Canyon Cycles. While it’s a packed schedule, it will be a low mileage day with all of these shops spanning only seven miles.

On day two the group will ride out to Fruita to visit Colorado E-Bikes, Colorado Backcountry Biker and iconic mountain bike shop Over the Edge Sports.

The tour will wrap up on Thursday with visits to Rapid Creek Cycles and Paddleboards in Palisade and to the Chamberlain Cycling Center at Colorado Mesa University.

Joining the crew throughout the week will be officials from the city of Grand Junction and Fruita including Fruita Mayor Lori Buck, Fruita City Manager Mike Bennett, and Grand Junction City Manager Greg Caton, among others.

The Dealer Tour will end with a tour of MRP’s headquarters in Grand Junction. MRP is hosting a reception, open to the area’s retailers and suppliers.”
