Hospitals and Medical Centers
Community Hospital is a Level III Trauma Center. Community Hospital partners with the most tenured oncology physicians on the Western Slope, with over 85 years’ combined experience, they offer a state-of-the-art labor and delivery unit, delivering low to high risk births, and provide a full range of medical services, including inpatient and outpatient surgery, and emergency care.
Family Health West is a 40,000 square foot hospital located in Fruita. Family Health West provides 16 private beds with in and outpatient ambulatory care, general and orthopedic surgery as well as other physician specialties.
St Mary’s Hospital & Medical Center is the largest hospital in the Grand Valley. St Mary’s is a licensed facility with 346 beds, a Level II Trauma Center with Air Life emergency transport service, and a Level II Neonatology Center. It also offers a full range of psychiatric services, dialysis, open heart surgery, and a comprehensive oncology clinic.
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center is a federal health facility with 53 acute and long term beds, provides inpatient and ambulatory medicine, surgery, and psychiatric services to all veterans.
West Springs Hospital is the only psychiatric hospital on Colorado’s western slope, serving the entire state and surrounding areas. West Springs is part of Mind Springs Health and treats patients of all ages for a variety of mental health conditions and concerns.
Primary and Specialty Care
Direct Primary Care through Appleton Clinics and Trailhead Clinics in Grand Junction, providing member-based primary care services as an alternative to the traditional health insurance model. Patients receive care, including lab work and in-house pharmacy services without office visit co-pays, and there is no insurance billing.
Primary Care Partners offers patients across the Grand Valley a wide range of medical services including three family physician groups, a pediatrics group, mammography, x-ray, a laboratory, nutritional services and diabetic education, an after-hours non-urgent care clinic, acupuncture services, physical therapy and sports medicine.
Community Hospital’s Primary Care Services Network offers a full range of services for the entire family including pediatrics/adolescents, same day acute care appointments, adult/senior care and more. Community Hospital’s primary care services network spans from Grand Junction to Fruita with over 20 providers.
Home Care of the Grand Valley is a not-for-profit home care agency, providing that integral link in the continuum of health care by delivering high-quality, cost-effective services to area residents and their families at home.
Marillac Clinic is a community clinic providing high quality health care to uninsured Mesa County residents with low and moderate incomes.
Mind Springs Health serves patients suffering from mental illness and addiction across Colorado and in neighboring states. Mind Springs offers inpatient and outpatient counseling, family services, crisis services and therapy.
