Today, Allegiant Airlines announced a new, nonstop flight from Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) to John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. The new nonstop route will operate twice weekly starting February 21, 2021.

John Wayne is a highly competitive airport due to its prime location near Disneyland and Newport Beach, according to GJT executive director Angela Padalecki.

“Allegiant has chosen GJT as one of the first eight destinations it will serve from there. This is a testament to the confidence Allegiant has in our market and our airport. I think John Wayne is the absolute best airport for our origination and destination passengers to fly to and from Southern California, and I can’t wait for the community to get to enjoy this service,” Padalecki shared in an email announcement.
