In a recent article, 5280 Magazine delves into the emerging viticulture scene in Colorado and why it is suddenly on everyone’s mind, from Food & Wine to Vogue. At the forefront of this growth is Palisade and the Grand Valley American Viticulture Area (AVA), known to us simply as Colorado Wine Country.

In truth, the Grand Valley AVA is hardly emerging. There are close to 30 vineyards that operate here and have been doing so for a long time. Anywhere from 85-95% of Colorado’s wine grapes are produced in this area, which is known for it’s fertile soil and year-round mild climate.
