2025 Annual Report

2025 was a record year for economic development in Mesa County, despite many challenges at the national level. Each year, the Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP) releases an annual report that highlights current economic trends, key focus areas for strategic growth, and the economic impact of the business expansion and relocation projects supported by GJEP, including new primary job creation and retention and capital investment.

Year over year, there has been a meaningful increase in economic impact and an increase in wages for new jobs created. In 2025, GJEP’s total economic impact reached a record breaking $194,872,443. It is through the support of our investors, public and private partners, and community that GJEP is able to impact economic stability through proactive business development efforts, site selection support, and incentive negotiation. Thank you for your continued support!

Special Thank You to Our Chairman’s Circle Partners:

The Grand Junction Economic Partnership calculates economic impact by assessing each new job created by industry and using IMPLAN modeling software to generate direct, indirect, and induced labor income impact. The direct effect is the economic impact on Mesa County from the direct spending of employee compensation. An indirect effect is a multiplier reflecting the relationship between the dollars spent by the employer, which then becomes the income of another person to be spent. Induced effects result from increased personal income caused by direct and indirect effects. Businesses experiencing increased revenue will subsequently increase payroll expenditures by hiring more employees, increasing salaries, etc.
