Colorado’s First LONE Incentive Recipient, Pax8, is Hiring

GRAND JUNCTION, CO (December 10, 2020) – Grand Junction Economic Partnership today announced that Pax8, a fast-growing information technology company based in Denver, is actively seeking job candidates from the Grand Valley for several new positions within the company.

“Pax8 has done its due diligence, touring Grand Junction and learning more about our community,” said Mara Hardy, Business Development Manager at GJEP. “They’ve identified it as a great place to live and do business, and a place with highly qualified talent. It aligns well with their mission and goals, and we are excited about the new opportunities for our residents.”

The homegrown Colorado company has announced plans to create a remote work hub in Grand Junction as part of a larger plan to build rural opportunities within the state.

“Our mission is to build an inclusive culture that encourages and celebrates diversity and inspires positive change in our people and communities,” said Cleve Lewis, Vice President of Empowerment Programs at Pax8. “Supporting collaborative economic development programs across the state is key to helping us achieve our goal of empowering underserved communities as well as fostering the successful growth of Pax8 over the next decade.”

Pax8’s projected expansion could create more than 1,800 jobs in Colorado over the next eight years. The company already employs remote workers in Colorado Springs and other communities along the I-25 corridor.

In February, Pax8 was the first company to receive Colorado’s Location Neutral Employee (LONE) incentive. The new performance-based incentive provides tax credits for each remote worker a company employs in an eligible rural county as part of their expansion.

Pax8 is the second recipient of the LONE incentive seeking to grow on the western slope. Earlier this year, INFOCU5, a tech company headquartered in Telluride, moved its Pasadena, California office to Grand Junction and announced plans to hire upward 400 employees over the next three years.

Current openings at Pax8 span from entry level sales positions to support and software engineering. Interested parties should visit https://www.pax8.com/careers/ for more information and to apply.
