March 8, 2017 – Our local elections take place next month and The Daily Sentinel will be covering a number of the ballot issues in the coming weeks. First up, Referred Measure 2B, with the slogan “better roads without raising taxes”. Executive director Kristi Pollard shared why GJEP supports measure 2B:

“‘If we don’t have good, strong transportation systems in the community, it will continue to impact our economic development efforts,’said Kristi Pollard, GJEP executive director. ‘When companies fly in and drive down our streets, it doesn’t speak well to the investment we’ve made in our community. This is a no-brainer. It’s economic development; it’s public safety. These dollars are being wisely spent and I think this is an issue the community should really rally behind.'”
