Welcome to the Heart of the New West
welcome home blm
MULTIPLE PARTNERS ACROSS COLORADO HAVE WORKED FOR YEARS TO BRING THE BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT TO THE WESTERN SLOPE. WE WERE THRILLED WHEN THE BLM HEADQUARTERS MOVED HERE IN 2020, BRINGING IMPORTANT JOBS AND DECISION-MAKERS CLOSER TO THE LANDS WHICH THEY MANAGE. WE WILL CONTINUE TO DO EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO SUPPORT THE BLM AND ITS EMPLOYEES WITH THIS RELOCATION.
WHY GRAND JUNCTION?
The BLM administers 249.8 million acres of America’s Public lands located primarily in 12 western states. It is the mission of the BLM to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. There’s no better place for the BLM to do that work than in Grand Junction, Colorado where over 75% of our lands are public. We know public lands because we are public lands. Our quality of life, our economy and our future depend on public lands.
