November 17, 2016 – Earlier this week, GJEP sent out an email inviting you to join us at Kids Aid Colorado on December 8 to fill bags with food in support of The Backpack Program. We only had 12 spots for the event and they filled up within hours! We’re thrilled at the huge amount of support and interest – if you aren’t one of the lucky 12 but would still like to participate, Terri is working on setting up additional dates. Just give her a call at 970.243.4332 or email terri@gjep.org with the number of people interested in attending.

If you can’t make a Kids Aid event but would still like to support our area youth, GJEP has also partnered with The House, a safe haven for Mesa County’s 160 homeless teens, providing shelter, counseling and a path to self-sufficiency. From now until December 20, GJEP will be collecting  much-needed supplies to spread a little holiday cheer to our homeless youth. Just drop off your donations at GJEP (122 N. 6th Street) during office hours 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday. (note, we are closed Nov. 24-25 to spend Thanksgiving with our families)

See below for a list of requested items – or download the list here.

GJEP will hand-deliver all donations to The House on Wednesday, December 21, just in time for the holidays.

Wishing you a Safe and Joyful Holiday Season…
GJEP
