June 7, 2017 – We had a really engaging and energizing Economic Summit yesterday. Thank you to all of you who attended this year’s Summit – we hope you found it as insightful as we did!

GJEP would also like to extend our gratitude to our title sponsors Coldwell Banker Distinctive & Commercial Prime Properties and Major Mortgage, as well as all of our  sponsors for helping us put together this year’s Summit: Bank of Colorado, Charter Communications, Grand Valley Power, St. Mary’s Hospital, US Bank, the Grand Valley Preferred Network of Community Hospital, FCI Constructors, Shaw Construction, Bonsai Design, Colorado PERA, Land Title Guarantee Company, Rocky Mountain Health Plans and Xcel Energy.

We had a wonderful lineup of speakers who also deserve our sincere thanks: Kathy Mussio of Atlas Insight, Ken Gart, Dr. Arlen Meyers, Erik Mitisek, Greg Smith of Colorado PERA, DA Dan Rubinstein, Sheriff Lewis, and Mike Foster, John Huff and Christi Reece from Coldwell Banker. Special kudos to Ben Collins for his inspiring and sincere keynote address at lunch.

If you are interested in connecting with any of these speakers or receiving their Powerpoint presentations, please email us.

We were able to present a seriously cool video on the Grand Valley tech community, which was created by local production team Lightbulb Media – thank you Caleb Weaver and Tim DaCosta for telling our area’s tech story so well! Thank you, as well, to Colorado PERA, for sponsoring this effort.

Another local production team that deserves our thanks is 14KMedia, who covered the Summit luncheon and afternoon economic visioning session. We will be posting the presentations for “2030 VISION” later today and sharing more clips from the Summit in the coming weeks. Thank you Matt Scofield and Logan McLennan!

Last, but not least, thank you to the event and catering staff at Colorado Mesa University, and all of our volunteers, for managing all of the details that go into an event like this and making it look good! It was a pleasure working with you.
