August 1, 2017 – If you’re following us on Instagram, don’t be surprised to see a dinosaur on GJEP’s profile. This particular dinosaur sits atop the sign for Dinosaur Journey, one third of the Museums of Western Colorado. This week Peter Booth, executive director of the Museums, and his team will be sharing snapshots from around “the largest multidisciplinary museum on the Western Slope.”
Along with Dinosaur Journey in Fruita, the Museums also include the Museum of the West in downtown Grand Junction, and Cross Orchards Historic Site, a living history museum. The Museums offer a number of activities and events throughout the year, like concerts, farmer’s markets, tours and expeditions – all in the name of telling the story and preserving the history of our community in Colorado’s Grand Valley.
