As of this Friday, April 16, the State of Colorado is dropping the COVID-19 dial, which has been setting state restrictions on counties based on different levels of impact. Two state mandates will remain in place for now: the mask mandate and restrictions on large gatherings, such as sporting events and concerts. Per Gov. Polis, the state is shifting responsibility to local communities and individuals, with counties able to set their own restrictions and mandates.

As reported earlier, Mesa County is dropping all county restrictions on April 16 as well. To better understand the next phase of pandemic recovery, visit https://health.mesacounty.us/covid19/.
