FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (November 15, 2017 | Grand Junction, CO) – The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) has awarded $25,000 toward a unique partnership between the Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP), Visit Grand Junction and the Greater Grand Junction Sports Commission. The partners will collaborate on an a campaign to promote Colorado’s Grand Valley as the “Outdoor Capital of Colorado” around the Outdoor Retailer markets in Denver next year. Each partner will contribute $8,334 to match the $25,000  CTO grant, for a total of $50,000 toward this campaign.

The CTO grant will go toward a larger 2018 marketing effort around outdoor recreation, supported by many local businesses and municipalities, including financial support from the cities of Grand Junction and Fruita, the Town of Palisade and Powderhorn Mountain Resort.
