HEALTH CARE IN COLORADO’S GRAND VALLEY

Hospitals and Medical Centers
St Mary’s Hospital & Medical Center is largest hospital in the Grand Valley. St Mary’s is a licensed facility with 346 beds, a Level II Trauma Center with Air Life emergency transport service, and a Level II Neonatology Center. It also offers a full range of psychiatric services, dialysis, open heart surgery,and a comprehensive oncology clinic.
Community Hospital is a licensed facility with 65 beds, providing the community with complete surgical services, 24-hour emergency care center, critical care unit, imaging center, full rehabilitative therapy services, and a comprehensive occupational medicine program.
Family Health West is a 40,000 square foot hospital located in Fruita. Family Health West provides 16 private beds with in and outpatient ambulatory care, general and orthopedic surgery as well as other physician specialties.
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center is a federal health facility with 53 acute and long term beds, provides inpatient and ambulatory medicine, surgery, and psychiatric services to all veterans.
Primary and Specialty Care
Direct Primary Care through Appleton Clinics and Trailhead Clinics in Grand Junction, providing member-based primary care services as an alternative to the traditional health insurance model. Patients receive care, including lab work and in-house pharmacy services without office visit co-pays, and there is no insurance billing.
Home Care of the Grand Valley is a not-for-profit home care agency, providing that integral link in the continuum of health care by delivering high-quality, cost-effective services to area residents and their families at home.
Marillac Clinic is a community clinic providing high quality health care to uninsured Mesa County residents with low and moderate incomes.
Primary Care Partners offers patients across the Grand Valley a wide range of medical services including three family physician groups, a pediatrics group, mammography, x ray, a laboratory, nutritional services and diabetic education, an after-hours non-urgent care clinic, acupuncture services, physical therapy and sports medicine.
