CULTURAL VENUES & ACTIVITIES

Throughout the area, arts, music and culture of the old and New West thrive and are celebrated in grand style. For a smaller community, there is a surprisingly diverse selection of activities. The Grand Valley is home to Art on the Corner, the Museum of Western Colorado, the Colorado Mountain Wine Festival, the Palisade Peach Festival, the Fruita Fat Tire Festival, and the Mike the Headless Chicken Festival,  just to name a few. 

The diversity of local and national artisans, festivals, theatre, concerts and galleries create a vibrant and creative community. The area has a diverse menu of musical and theatrical events ranging from the Grand Junction Symphony, the Country Jam Music Festival, the Rock Jam Music Festival, the Vineyard concert series and other frequent concerts, shows and theatre productions.

Art on the Corner

"Art on the Corner" is one of America's largest outdoor displays of sculptured art where classic and contemporary pieces by Colorado artists can be viewed all year round. Walk along the shaded and flower-lined streets of Grand Junction's unique Downtown where fountains and statuesque historical buildings surround numerous art galleries, antique shops, restaurants and retail establishments.
